Hyper-V: Windows created temporary paging file when pagefile is set on SCSI Disk (Hyper-V VM G1)

Setup paging file on SCSI disk causes this error.

Applies To:

All Hyper-V VM Generation 1

CAUSE:

Hyper-V VM G1 boots from IDE disk and G1 SCSI Controller is Virtual SCSI Controller.

Virtual SCSI Controller is not loaded when paging file is created.

SOLUTION:

You can use one of the following way:

1. Move paging file to IDE disk

2. Change the virtual harddisk connected on SCSI Controller to IDE Controller.
